How much does the Ferry to Cozumel cost?
The transfer to Cozumel with ultramar has different costs and these depend a lot on the type of trip you make and if you are local or not, for example: The Premium service has a cost of 500.00 MXN round trip for adults and 400.00 MXN round trip for minors, while the cost for Quintana Roo residents (presenting their official ID) is 300.00 MXN for adults and 200.00 MXN for children. On the other hand, you can purchase a first class transfer that has a cost of 600.00 MXN per person.

How to get to Cozumel from Cancun?
If you want to go to Cozumel from Cancun airport or from any part of the city of Cancun, the first step is to learn how to get to Playa del Carmen, remember that Cozumel is an island located 18 km from Playa del Carmen and the options we have are private transportation, cab, ADO bus and Colectivos.
Private Transportation
No matter if you are at the airport or downtown, the private transfer service is the best option to get from Cancun to Playa del Carmen. This private transportation service will pick you up at the airport or at your hotel and will take you safely, punctually and quickly to the Playa del Carmen maritime terminal.
At the maritime terminal in Playa del Carmen, you can buy your ticket to board the ferry to Cozumel. It should be noted that the transfer service does not include the ferry ticket in its costs.
Cab
Cab is a private means of transportation that can be taken from the Cancun airport or any avenue within the city or the hotel zone, but it is not really a recommended means of transportation, unless it is an emergency.
Generally the airport cabs have air conditioning and those in downtown Cancun do not, plus the cost to go to Cozumel or rather to the maritime terminal, to take the ferry to Cozumel can reach 2,000.00 MXN approximately.
In addition, being a small vehicle, it only has a maximum capacity of 3 to 4 people. Therefore, it should only be considered if you are traveling in a hurry or have an emergency to go to Cozumel.
It should be noted that there are airplanes and helicopters as air transportation service to Cozumel from Playa del Carmen and therefore, you can ask the cab to take you to the port from where each of them departs, but by recommendation it will be necessary to first contact the corresponding air route service first.
Similarly, if you only want to spend a day in Cozumel you can choose to buy a tour by boat, catamaran or rent a yacht to get to know this beautiful island.
ADO Bus
Currently from the Cancun airport you can buy tickets for the ADO bus or colectivo. This means that without leaving the airport, you can take this means of shared transportation to get to Playa del Carmen. Remember that as such, the destination is Playa del Carmen and you will have to find your way to the maritime terminal of the region in order to take the ferry to Cozumel.
Collective
If you are in downtown Cancun and you want to save as much as possible on your transfer to Cozumel, the shuttle service is a very good option that costs 45.00 MXN per person.
This service leaves every 30 minutes and you can take it in front of the ADO terminal and as such, it will leave you very close to the fifth avenue of Playa del Carmen. From here, you just have to look for the maritime terminal to take the ferry, or purchase a tour to Cozumel or another transfer service such as helicopter or light aircraft transportation.
